Hastings Public Library

The Teen Room

The Teen Room is a space dedicated to Teens with Teen focused books, multiple tables/desks, large comfy chairs, stools and room to move about. While always welcome in the main spaces of the library, Teens are encouraged to spend time in this dedicated space working on homework, reading and catching up with friends.

Books Teen Books

The Teen room houses Teen focused reading materials including:

  • Fiction and Non-fiction
  • Graphic Novels
  • Biography

Teens are always encouraged to browse the rest of the collection around the library and adults are also encouraged to read Teen literature. Everyone knows Harry Potter, right?

Computers Teen PC

Three computers are available for Teens to help with homework, research or even play educational and fun games on. A library card, school ID or parent/care giver is needed to get computer access. Computer passes can be issued for 3 months at a time so ID is only needed once.

Teen Room Policy

Along with the standard Patron Code of Conduct, there is an additional Teen Room Policy to ensure all patrons can comfortably make use of this space.
