Friends of Hastings Public Library

Friends Mission Friends of HPL

The Friends of the Hastings Public Library support the library with volunteers, fundraisers, and programs, extending the library’s reach into our community.

Overview

A 501 [C][3] certified organization, the Friends raise money for the library through book sales, sale of other items in the library like coffee and earbuds and other fundraising events around town though out the year.

Some of the money raised is donated to the library to support library collection development, dues to organizations, purchase of equipment and staff training.

The Friends also volunteer within the library helping re-shelve books, aiding with programs and supporting children's literacy efforts.
