Displays and Art
The library has several locations to display items for the enjoyment and enrichment of our patrons. Displays generally change monthly so stop in and see what's new.
Displays
Glass Case
We have a large glass enclosed display case just inside the north entrance from the parking lot. This is used for everything from art to local history to library programs like summer reading. The public is free to suggest displays and if you have a collection you'd like to show, please contact us.
Past displays have included private artwork, Hastings history, animals, super heroes and pottery. A few examples are below:

Display Boxes
Two flat display boxes are occasionally set around the library featuring small items often from private collections. In the past we have showcased matchbooks, postcards and other such collectibles.
Artwork
The main hallway upstairs across from the Community Room houses the
Normally featuring local artists, we try to rotate content every 1-2 months to keep it fresh.
2020 started off with a surreal bang. 13 Salvador Dali prints were on display, 6 of which could be viewed with Augmented Reality to enhance the experience. All Dali prints were loaned by Edward Englerth.
