Have you ever wanted to go out for a local walk/hike to “get away”, yet not want to go “too far”?

Join us to talk about where you can go nearby, and still get new scenery and experiences! Whatever you may be looking for in getting your outdoor adventure started, or changed up, you do not have to go far to get a variety of options.

Presenters Jane Norton and Cynthia Clemens, from the local chapter of the North Country Trail (NCT), will present 15 different hikes of varying lengths and terrains located within a 15 minute drive of Hastings. And YES, they will also explain what the North Country Trail is, and include some of the local options for hiking this 4800 mile trail that spans 8 states and is right in our backyard!

After the interactive discussion (~60 mins), all will have the option to “hit the trail”, by joining in a walk of the Hastings Thornapple Riverwalk (~30 mins).

And if you want to know the difference between a walk and a hike, that will be discussed also!
