As a member of the Historical Society of Michigan (HSM), the Hastings Public Library is able to give patrons access to virtual presentations on Michigan history that we showed in our Community Room pre-COVID.

History Hounds Digging Dog

Join the HSM for a discussion on the Coalwood logging district located southwest of Munising in the Hiawatha National Forest. Lumberjacks burned more than 6,000 calories a day! learn about how they kept fueled up for their intensely physical jobs.
