Great Decisions - Virtual

Great Decisions - Virtual
Participate in Foreign Policy Discussions on Current Topics

Sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association each year,

"Great Decisions is America's largest discussion program on world affairs."

"The program provides background information and policy options for the eight most critical issues facing America each year and serves as the focal text for discussion groups across the country."

Normally the Library hosts these meetings, but 2021's program is entirely virtual. This year's topics are:

  • Global Supply Chains and National Security
  • Persian Gulf Security Issues
  • Brexit and the European Union
  • Struggles Over the Melting Arctic
  • China’s Role in Africa
  • The Korean Peninsula
  • Roles of International Organizations in a Global Pandemic
  • The end of globalization?

There is a cost for the workbook needed to participate in Great Decisions discussions. Contact the event organizers Carole Barch or Marge Faber for more information and to sign up.
