Cybersecurity Basics 2023 - Digital Literacy for Everyone

Are you leery of browsing online?

Do you wonder about how to create a secure password?

Do you get unsolicited emails with offers that look too good to be true?

Join us to learn more about how to protect yourself online.

Note this is a repeat of the class held in Fall 2022. Feel free to attend again if desired, but little new information will be presented.

Cybersecurity is all about the safety of information—our identity, our personal data, and our financial assets—when we’re online.

Cybersecurity means that

1. Your personal data is accessible only to you or others you authorize, and that
2. Your devices—laptops, desktop computers, mobile phones, tablets— work properly and are free from malware.

We will talk about email SPAM, secure passwords, anti-virus software and more.

Where: Community Room

Bring your own laptop or use one of ours. Tablets and phones work too.
Let us know when you register if you have your own device.
Light snacks and water will be provided.
