New Early Literacy Resource - TALK

New Early Literacy Resource - TALK
Hastings Public Library is excited to participate in a new statewide early literacy initiative called TALK.
Once registered, you will receive 10 text messages a month with early literacy activities based on the Every Child Ready to Read model.
Texts can also be received in Spanish.
Example texts:
  • Write: Outside, write letters in the dirt or snow with a stick. Name the letters as you write them. Let your tot put small rocks over the letters or write too.
  • Play: Explore shadow + light! Use a flashlight, your hands + small objects to make shadows on a wall. Try different ways to make the shadows big or small.
