September 8, 2022, Hastings, MI - Hastings Public Library is very excited to have been awarded a 2022 Save Michigan History Visiting Archivist Grant. Sponsored by the National Historical Publications & Records Commission from the National Archives, and the Michigan State Historical Archives Board, this grant provides expertise to recipients on archiving processes & procedures, as well as guidance on projects and priorities.

A professional archivist from the Archives of Michigan will advise the Library through 2022, and has already completed an initial site visit. This grant will help the Library as we process the significant resources in storage to make more local history available to the public, as well as provide guidance in making more content available digitally.
