Effective Wednesday November 18, 2020, the Hastings Public Library is closed to public access and is going back to drive-thru holds pick up service. Until the Library re-opens to the public again, use the drive-thru to pick up holds for all your reading needs.

How the Drive-thru Process Works

As of Wednesday 11/18/2020

1. Reserve Items in any of 4 Ways

• Through your online account
  • Note: Only HPL patrons can reserve online for pickup at HPL. All other Lakeland patrons can call, email or text.

2. Wait for Confirmation

Please wait to hear back from the Library that holds are ready before coming to pick them up.

 3. Pick Up

Drive-thru hours (subject to change):

• Mon - Fri: 10:00am – 6:00pm.
• Sat: 10:00am – 2:00pm.

To pick up:

1. Drive around to the back side of the building facing City Hall.
2. If you are returning items, please place them in the return slots first before going to the drive-thru window.
3. Come to the drive-thru window located after the return slots.
4. Have your library card ready!

4. Return

Place items in the slots on the side of the building at your convenience 24/7. Check your account online or the dates stamped in the materials for due dates.

Note: items will continue to automatically renew if no other patron has a hold request on them.

All returns will be quarantined for 96 hours before being checked in. No late fines will accrue.
