FREEZING HOLDS IN “MY ACCOUNT”
1. Log into your account on Lakenet (http://lakenet.llcoop.org)
2. If you have existing holds, choose to view those holds
3. There is a new column called “Freeze” on the right. Freezing a request means that the patron’s position in the hold queue is skipped over until the request is reactivated. This allows the patron to stay in the hold queue while holds are filled for patrons further down the queue. The system changes the patron’s “not wanted before” date to 255 days (a system set value) from the hold’s creation date.

4. To freeze a hold, check the box in the “Freeze” column. Click on the Update List button. The hold is frozen.
5. To reactivate a hold, uncheck the box in the “Freeze” column. Click on the Update List button. The hold is now ready to be filled with the next eligible, holdable copy.

6. Frozen holds will not be filled until the patron reactivates them, even when the system set date has passed.
